Every Scratch Has a Story: Recreating the Porsche 917K

We believe that history is written in the smallest details. Every scratch, every stain, every mark left behind by competition is part of the story. To erase them would be to erase truth.

The image above shows the engine bay of our Porsche 917K, winner at Spa-Francorchamps in 1971, as it comes to life at 1/8 scale. This is not a clean, polished interpretation. It is weathered, raw, and honest.

Crafting History in Miniature

Nothing about this model has been artificially aged. Every element is the result of a meticulous process rooted in evidence. Our artisans study race footage, historic photographs, and period-correct technical data to ensure that each imperfection is true to the original.

Oil stains are mapped and replicated. Bolts are shaded individually. Textures are layered by hand until the surfaces carry the same presence as the car that thundered across the finish line in 1971.

Why We Refuse to Polish the Past

Racing is not clean. Victory does not arrive without scars. When a car crosses the line first, it carries the dust, the oil, and the fatigue of endurance. At LEVEGH, we believe a model should not erase that reality. It should preserve it.

Our 917K is not just a miniature. It is a time capsule, holding within it the raw honesty of a moment in motorsport history. Because every scratch has a story, and every story deserves to be told.
